Attractions in Surrey near London - Unique British Tours

Michael Osbourne, a neighbour of Cumberland House, runs day trips and tours of the English Countryside and National Trust Houses and Gardens. Several groups of people staying with Clive and Carmel have enjoyed a memorable day out with Michael.

Cumberland House is within easy walking distance of Horley town centre where you will find restaurants to suit every taste. The variety of cuisine includes, Italian, Chinese, Indian and Mediterranean.

If you prefer traditional English food why not try Ye Olde Six Bells.  This 16th century pub, is believed to have connections with the Parish Church next to it, which date back to the 14th century. The earliest known date is 1304, although it was not known by its current name until 1393. Now part of the Vinatage Inn group, this pub serves meals throughout the day and evening and is situated approximately 250 yards from our guest house. 

LONDON

You can reach London by rail from Horley station or Gatwick Airport station and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. The sites worth visiting are too many to list here, but you might like to try:

BRIGHTON & THE SOUTH COAST

Brighton is just 30 minutes away by rail or road. There you can spend a pleasant day walking round the 'Lanes' with their Antique shops, or just wander along the seafront.
